I first came to yoga over ten years ago as a way to complement my existing fitness routine. After attending my first workshop with Kathryn Budig, I knew I wanted to teach yoga to others. In 2013, I applied to Kula Oakville's 200 hour teacher training and graduated in 2014. As part of my continuing education, I have studied with Tiffany Cruikshank (Yoga Medicine), Jason Crandell, Sage Rountree (Yoga for Athletes), Claire Newman (Pre and Postnatal Yoga) and Alexandria Crow (Yoga Physics). I am currently pursuing my 500 hour training with the Carolina Yoga Company.
My yoga practice has evolved over the past ten years and I expect it to continue to evolve. After becoming pregnant with my first child in 2016, my yoga practice was forced to change. I started to slow things down and really listen to what my body needed and included more yin, restorative and a meditation practice to my existing vinyasa practice.
Because no two individuals' lifestyles are the same, I tailor yoga classes for each individual - working with their own range of motion. For that reason, my group classes are small (no more than 10 individuals). In addition to group classes, I offer private and semi-private classes throughout the Burlington, Oakville and Toronto areas.
